Artist Statement

My paintings explore the emotional space where memory, identity, and transformation quietly converge. Working in oil while drawing from the philosophy and rhythm of Chinese ink painting, I build layered compositions that move between representation and abstraction.

In my work, water is more than a physical element-it is a language of reflection, change, and resilience. Whether present as an atmosphere, a memory, or embodied through living forms, it represents the unseen currents that shape our inner lives. In this painting, the goldfish become silent companions, moving freely between reality and imagination. Their presence suggests a dialogue beyond words, where human emotion and the natural world gently mirror one another.
