Artist Statement

Claire Halenbeck is a painter who makes energetic abstract paintings. Her work is inspired by time spent daily on the hills and beaches of the rugged Northern California coast near her Marin County studio. She exhibits throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and across the US.
She’s inspired by everything in the natural world; sights, sounds, fragrances, and how the light creates drama in color and shape.
