Artist Statement

Hello! My name is Candice Bell.
The pieces I am presenting are from my very first collection entitled “Fluidity”.
During my childhood I was afraid of the water (any body of water larger than a glass of water – I was afraid of it).
As I’ve grown older, I turned my fears into appreciation and inspiration. Water is the freest form or body on Earth – it calms me and provides serenity. It flows however it so desires. With my abstract line art, I allow my lines to flow freely and fluid like water, so when seen, it creates a calmness or Zen feeling amongst the viewer/patron.
