Artist Statement

I am a self-taught photographer in my early twenties, based in St. Louis, Missouri. My work is drawn to landscapes that ask nothing of you, places where the scale of the natural world renders human urgency small and, in doing so, offers something like relief. I am interested in the moments when a person, or the trace of one, appears within that vastness not as a subject to be studied, but as a feeling to be recognized.
