Kasey Kurowsky – Sunlit Souls

Description

Artist Statement

am a self-taught mixed-media artist inspired by the vibrant colors, textures, and emotions found in everyday life. I primarily work with acrylic paint on wood panels, layering paper, fabric, meaningful phrases, and glossy epoxy to create depth, movement, and visual storytelling. I love experimenting with unexpected combinations of materials to create original, expressive pieces that feel personal, energetic, and full of life. I also have a deep love for mid-century modern design and enjoy incorporating its clean lines and distinctive linework into my paintings.
For me, painting is more than a creative practice-it is a form of healing, connection, and self-expression. Art has helped me navigate change, stress, and uncertainty while reconnecting me with the joy, curiosity, and freedom I experienced as a child.
