Artist Statement

The concept for my photographic body of work titled FLOW developed from nature walks around woodland waterways while observing how water reacted within its environment and the ever changing elements. Close up perspectives of water reveal the magical properties of reflections and movement often becoming abstracts of the structures flowing water creates. Artistically the endless designs available in water are captivating, almost hypnotic. Observing water’s adaptability and alchemy through this project has given me greater understanding of our own intrinsic nature to adapt and how precious fresh water truly is. Water is life, it reflects and embodies the innate genius of Nature and higher intelligence. The FLOW project has become my celebration of freshwater and our public lands.
