Artist Statement

I repurpose and reimagine ideas and subject matter which brings new life and life experiences to the prints I create. Layering image over image draws me in as there is always something different. I want my artwork to inspire hope, optimism and humor.
I like to have a connection with the images I place on paper. I grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado, a town surrounded by mountains and vast expanses of wilderness. Part of me has always tried to navigate the city and the country. The prints allow me to celebrate nature, even when I am surrounded by an urban setting.
