Artist Statement

I create abstract compositions alive with pattern, gesture, and color.
My pieces begin as sculptures fashioned in virtual space. Here, gravity does not exist. Material strength and cost fall away. The sculptures can move according to their nature rather than conform to the physical world.
I’m glad to be rid of those limits.
I stage, light, and often animate my sculptures. As they move through space, they create dynamic views that become the starting point for my two-dimensional work. Each piece develops intuitively from the relationships that emerge between the forms.
