Artist BiographyCan someone be “Destined To Be An Artist?” Born with the desire to express onesself visually? I would argue that it is completely possible, not having any memory of ever not being fully immersed in the wonder of the visual image. My need to create seemed ever-present, and I poured over magazine ads hoping that one day I would be creating my own. When in the 5th grade I won a contest for a trip to a New York Ad Agency, the decision had been made. Having been awarded a full time scholarship to the School of Visual Arts, I decided to attend Pratt Insitute, and finished my studies at The Chicago Art Institute. Not long after, I began my career as an Art Director for various agencies. Recently I have been given the opportunity to actually persue my passion and share my vision through a series of compelling and colorful pieces. My goal is to create works that come alive every time you view it, and never stop offering interpretation, and translation. Life is a series of random events, and this is what my designs reflect-the ever-moving, yet sometimes mechanical process of thought. Creating on my own terms has added a layer to my life that was not present before, as I can honestly say it has made me whole. Michael’s work has been published in ARTCloseUP magazine, |
