About the Artist

Artist Statement

When you start painting as a hobby in your fifties, it is as if the soul of a ten or twelve-year-old child may quietly emerge from the shelter where it has been for years. You walk your artistic journey together, hand in hand, and with intuition where appropriate, whenever possible.
The realisation that art can enable you to touch people you have never met and have never known to a degree they allow, creates a deep, touching and inspiring sense of motivation.
All these artistic works or efforts come from the desire to contribute positively to life and all living beings, to the extent possible, greater or lesser, based on “Constructive Freedom”.
Within the efforts where the emotional states and energies reflected and experienced in work in their naturality; the timely use of appropriate tools in place to fulfil the technical requirements of the work, being aware of the craft dimension and familiar with it including materials and their interactions become increasingly meaningful, even indispensable. In a more general sense, we can also speak of an inner journey nourished by intuitive discoveries within balance and harmony in spirals of ends and means or cause-effect relationships.
When it comes to art, the realisation that there are no ready-made recipes for creativity in particular and that works develop according to their dynamics finds its place among the subjects learned through trial and error. Within these trial-and-error processes, based on personal observations and evaluations and whose validity is questionable, the perception can also develop that each work of art has its way of creation and becomes a separate and independent entity when finished.
This experience may also lead to the understanding that in line with the time availability the viewer devotes to the artwork, an intimate communication in between may happen. In this sense, the spontaneous energy exchange may vary based on the mood and the frequency of the viewer within the environmental conditions as a whole.
Please allow the artworks to express themselves to the extent possible and be ready for a short journey with their silent music…
