Artist Statement

I am a deeply feeling person, and I have navigated some very emotionally tumultuous times recently. Art has been a constant in my life since childhood-it is a core part of my identity. However, over the last year, I felt that the traditional nature photography I was shooting had become out of sync with my internal experience.
ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) became the most authentic way for me to translate the weight of loss, grief, overwhelm, and anxiety into my art; it gives me the freedom to express the chaos inside me.
