Artist Statement

I am a long-time photographer from film to digital who has traveled across most of the planet’s surface and still I come back to basic straight forward images.
I’ve experimented with more cutting edge and au currant techniques and that is fine, but I seem to go back to my first orientation to the photographed image inspired by the masters – simple, clean lines and straightforward. I don’t label myself a particular type of photographer, I am Just a picture taker who snaps what appeals to my eye. I was born in Los Angeles, California with sunshine, the sea, music and lots of
color.
I am an “informavore” who feds on information with thoughts erupting like volcanoes in my head in word or image form. I scout the world for images as they present themselves to me – seeking light, shape, line, shadow, color or something unique. I am a “romantic old soul” with intellectual cravings now living in a
Digital World.
