My work is an exploration of the organic evolution of the self, captured in the tactile language of clay. I strive for an organic quality in every piece, allowing the material to dictate its own growth, much like a living organism or a weathered stone. This spontaneity reflects the unpredictable nature of our own internal landscapes. Central to my visual vocabulary is the hand. In my sculptures, the hand serves as a dual symbol: it is the part of humanity desperately trying to hold on to itself, while simultaneously exposing a profound vulnerability. It represents the active force in our lives-the literal and metaphorical grasp we have on our identity-and serves as a reminder that we are the primary architects of our own experiences. Whether the form is emerging from a porous, coral-like texture or shielded by heavy, shroud-like folds, the work examines what we create for ourselves. Each piece is a meditation on the delicate balance between the strength required to build a life.
