The Weather Report Suite is a series of oil paintings exploring the shifting climate of human emotion through the metaphoric lens of weather. Each work takes its title from a resonant piece of music or literature, acting as a conceptual anchor that deepens the viewer’s emotional and interpretive engagement. As in a musical suite, each painting is a movement within a broader emotional landscape-one shaped by longing, turbulence, resolve, and grace.

The suite draws on the social figuration of Diego Rivera and the lyricism of Otis Redding, the epic despair of T.S. Eliot, and the quiet cycles of land and labor. In this world, sky and soil reflect the unspoken-the internal weather of the soul.

Together, these paintings chart a journey from drought to abundance, from rupture to renewal.
