Alma Hoffmann – Letters2

$200.00

The images are all part of a book, an accordion watercolor book. The book measures approximately 7 x 5 inches and when opened it would measure about 7 x 40 inches. The book is titled Letters. It is all done in watercolor and ink. If sold the price would be $200.00.

The idea for the book started by playing with the colors. I had no definite plan but the linear aspect of the book, begged for a story to be told. I thought why not tell a story with letters folding and unfolding? The book was born.

About the Artist

Artist Statement

My work is an exploration of media; watercolor, ink, pencil, pen, and paper. I search for answers to what could happen if I combine them? In my work I seek to explore light, shadow, textures, and story telling. But, I also want to communicate joy. The colors and their relationship to each other are a joyful interaction to create line and shape.
