Artist StatementSince the late 1990s, Ken’s journey as a digital artist has been a continuous exploration of the intersection between technology and creativity. The advent of digital technology opened up a new realm of possibilities, allowing him to transcend traditional artistic boundaries and delve into the abstract. Ken’s work is a testament to the transformative power of digital tools, which have enabled him to express complex emotions and ideas through vibrant, dynamic compositions. Digital technology has always fascinated Ken with its limitless potential for innovation. The ability to manipulate pixels, experiment with interesting digital tools, and create intricate patterns has been both a challenging and a fascinating path to follow. Each piece Ken creates is a unique blend of meticulous planning and spontaneous discovery, reflecting his deep appreciation for the precision and unpredictability that digital mediums offer. Artist BiographyKen studied photography at Southern Illinois University and UCLA and has studied with Photoshop gurus such as Ben Wilmore and Scott Kelby. Ken’s digital art has been seen in juried shows in Denver at such galleries as the Space Gallery, CORE New Art Space, the Lakewood Arts Council’s Black and White show, Next Gallery (where his works “Universe” and “Dianna SXV2267”won Best in Show awards), Photographers Gallery, Tenn Street Coffee & Books/Gallery (where his work “Bleacher Bums” won Best in Show), Circle |
