About the Artist

Artist Statement

Hey Art Lovers and Supporters,

I’m Moschburg, a modern artist known for creating visual experiences empowered by mural art. My art journey has taken me through six countries, soaking up the colors, life, and vibes from every corner of the globe – from the bustling markets in Asia to the classic beauty of European cities. All these experiences pour into my murals, making each one a patchwork of the places and faces I’ve seen.

When I paint, it’s like I’m chatting with the world. Sometimes an unexpected emotion or a flash from my travels guides my hand. It’s a mix of go-with-the-flow and getting every detail just right.

My murals aren’t just for looking; they’re conversations with anyone who stops by. They tell the tales of their neighborhoods, adding a bit of my perspective. Take “Times Square Triangle” for example. It’s not just a mural; it’s a dive into the heart of New York’s buzz – Moschburg style. It’s my way of showing you the energy and spirit of Times Square, but with my own twist.

I hope my art takes you on a trip, showing you the beauty and stories of our world through my eyes. I’m all about sharing this journey with you, hoping to spark a love for the amazing diversity around us.

Thanks for coming along,

Moschburg

Artist Biography

Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as the youngest of three, Moschburg’s life quickly unfolded into an extraordinary adventure, thanks to his father’s military career. His travels from the deserts of New Mexico to the vibrant melting pot of cultures in Panama, Guam, England, Japan, Germany, and eventually back to the US, enriched him with a diverse cultural understanding that shaped his artistic vision.

In his teenage years in Germany, grappling with depression, Moschburg discovered the transformative power of art during weekend visits to Paris with his mother. This exposure to the city’s famed art scene, and a significant encounter with a portrait artist, ignited his passion for painting.

Moving to Florida at 17 to pursue his artistic and academic aspirations, Moschburg found in Florida’s dynamic environment the perfect backdrop to refine his voice, a voice cultivated through his extensive travels. The turning point in his career came when he lost his job as a deli manager, a challenge that propelled him fully into his art, leading to significant mural projects that redefined his focus and style. These projects blend emotional depth with complex narratives on a grand scale.

This transition marked the beginning of Moschburg’s engagement with cities across Florida, creating impactful murals in public spaces and working with major companies like Target and CGC Grading. His work, a reflection of his journey, now adorns various cities, adding a touch of speculative beauty and narrative depth that resonates widely.

Today, from his visual studio, Moschburg continues to explore and express, crafting scenes that capture the essence of his experiences and the universal human condition.
