Artist Statement

Art is lifesaving and being an artist is the greatest gift I have given myself. I have always been a deeply emotional person who struggled continuously through life to be seen and heard. Art allows me to open myself up to a non-judgemental canvas and show my truth, how I feel, and how I interpret my environment.
My journeys abroad have shown me new perspectives of how people live and survive. I take that beauty, love, and pain and channel it through a palette knife onto canvas in a way that releases the heavy emotions I am feeling about my experiences.
