My goal as a painter is to create moments in worlds viewers feel compelled to continually revisit. The paintings explore the performance of normality. Familiar settings, symbolic objects, and shifts in atmosphere suggest that “something is going on.”
The work resists a fixed narrative, allowing multiple interpretations to coexist, occupying the unstable point where the ordinary becomes psychologically charged, creating scenes that are strangely familiar yet remain just out of reach of the knowable.
