My work explores the complicated process of becoming comfortable with the parts of ourselves that others have taught us to fear. Through the contrast of innocence and danger, I examine sexuality, self-acceptance, and the ways judgment can shape our perception of ourselves. My work also explores the process of accepting the past, confronting the wounds it leaves behind, and learning to move forward rather than remain bound by it. Ultimately, I am interested in the possibility of transformation-of accepting who we have been, embracing who we are, and finding the courage to move toward a brighter future.
