Gregory Kessler – Antecedent

Description

Artist Statement

I have always had curiosity regarding the mysterious, the ineffable, and the strange. Thoughts, ideas, sensations that extend beyond the ordinary or everyday conditions, inform my work. My work embodies the following themes.
1. Drawings of Silence
2. Drawings of the Mysterious
3. Drawings of Atmospheres
For this exhibit, I have entered works from the Drawings of the Mysterious series. In this series, I seek to create works that question perceptions and assumptions. The mysterious can take us to other places and times. It creates space, where dreams are actualized, expanding human experiences.
