My background in landscape architecture informs an art practice centered on how people experience and remember place. I am drawn to the ordinary places we pass through and the details that become familiar through repetition.
A sidewalk, a breezeway, or a patch of growth can hold associations with people and daily rituals, even when no one is pictured. Through close observation, these surfaces become a way to consider how we inhabit places and how they stay with us.
