Artist Statement

My work is rooted in the idea that everything is connected: our surroundings, our memories, the places we come from, and the ways we understand ourselves. Through painting and hand-built ceramics, I explore that relationship using vibrant color, texture, repetition, and movement. My paintings often sit somewhere between impressionism and abstraction, with pointillism becoming a way to build images from individual marks that only fully reveal themselves when seen as a whole.
